- Abstract
- A new ordination process component is needed to prepare and evaluate better the candidates for leading congregations in ministry among the poor. Research consisted of a critical analysis of current candidate interviews, documents used to prepare interviews, and three existing immersion models. The author developed a new component proposing poverty-specific interview questions and rural, urban and local context immersions during the probationary period. The Board of Ordained Ministry approved the development of interview questions and the immersions that will be tested on Board members before implementation.
