Abstract
  • Local churches have largely abdicated the scriptural responsibility to provide a biblically robust care of souls for their covenant communities. This has fostered the growth of para-church and secular counseling organizations. By not providing adequate training for relational and situational difficulties, church leaders are at a disadvantage. A void has been created within the church that provokes the people of God to look for sub-biblical models and competing gospels for help. This project looks at how to introduce soul care to its congregation, and how it should be taught to the church's leaders.
