Abstract
  • This dissertation deals with South Carolina Baptist churches that use the partnership strategy to enhance missions engagement. Personal participation in missions has been missing in many traditional South Carolina Baptist churches. There is a need to shift to a new paradigm of doing missions. A growing number of South Carolina Baptist churches have implemented a partnership strategy--resulting in greater involvement among the congregation. The methodology used in this field research was a case study involving six churches. These churches had little missions involvement until adopting the partnership strategy. The partnership strategy resulted in members becoming more personally involved in missions.
