Abstract
  • This project focused on the development of an intergenerational and multigenerational model of ministry that will equip parents and grandparents to elevate their strengths, process their struggles, and affirm the tenacity to survive. The Wayman Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, in Dayton, Ohio, consists of many intergenerational and multigenerational families. Through a qualitative approach, the author developed a manual that facilitated its content in a support group. The objectives were realized and a supported community resulted. parents and grandparents were were empowered by their common parental values. the model is an effective tool for intergenerational and multigenerational ministries in local churches.
