- Abstract
- This project identifies and suggests models of ministry which clergy and congregations might find appropriate and helpful in dealing with destructive cults. The goal of the study was to integrate insights from various disciplines into a format which could focus on three primary areas of cult abuse ministry: preventive ministry, pastoral ministry, and rehabiliation ministry. Thus this thesis-project took the form of a creative study for the purposes of building and suggesting models. It was argued that destructive cults ought to be confronted on moral and methodological grounds, rather than for theological considerations.
