- The study promotes the concept of holistic mission while it enhances mission consciousness at the local church level. A process of consciousness raising is monitored and developed through the application of questionnaires, workshops and qualitative instruments. An immersion into a Third World country heightens mission awareness. Linkage with mission posts in Haiti motivates parish people to engage in the mission process. There is a transformation from mere concern and curiosity about the poor to a more reality-centered mobilization process. The mission praxis is contextual. It challenges old models of action, spirituality and prayer.
