  • Dionysius' liturgical-theological contribution to church renewal
Abstrakt
  • In this action-research project Dionysius' writings on the unitive Christian life were not only researched but regularly utilized in sacraments and liturgy. Although the project's original purpose was not to convince that Dionysius was the initial Athenian bishop, convert of Paul (Acts 17:34), it emerged from the actual writings and early attestations that no other chronology was as consistent. There is strong possibility that his given Christian name during the Arcanum period was Theophilus (viz his writings). His mentor, John the Evangelist, he called 'Theologus' or 'Hierotheus'. (Ignatius was called 'Theophorus', etc). If he were Theologus' scribe as he claimed, that would explain the vast difference in the Greek utilized in the gospel as opposed to any Patmos revelation.
