- Abstract
- This research examined the needs and care factors of Korean single female. Utilizing a qualitative research design twelve missionaries were interviewed from different demographic groups. Security concerns, desire for a close relationship, and identity issues are discussed as main sources of stress for single missionaries. The findings indicate that pastoral care in the form of short-term visiting ministry is urgently needed, since they usually have no partner with whom to discuss their stressors and thus dangerously ignore their stressors due to their training and endurance. The reactions and insights from single Korean female missionaries provide an initial guideline.
