Abstract
  • This project enlists and trains older members of Westwood Baptist Church as mentors of new members to facilitate their assimilation. In a ten-week training module for these mentors, the project offers a biblical and theological understanding of assimilation that, along with social psychology, prepares the mentors to help new members develop a sense of community in the congregation.
