Abstract
  • Teams of Our Lady, a worldwide movement in spirituality for Roman Catholic married people, involves the Sitdown: a monthly in-depth talk between husband and wife about their relationship. This project-thesis attempts to enhance the Sitdown experience of Teams couples. After a short demographic study of marriage in the United States today and an analysis of the current situation among Catholic married persons, the author cites contemporary church teaching and outlines the history and structures of marriage enrichment programs, couple communications workshops, marriage encounter week-ends, and finally, Teams of Our Lady. He then outlines the design and execution of the project, materials on marital spirituality and couple communication, and evaluates the effect of the project on 56 Teams couples.
