The purpose of this project was to research pastoral internship programs to develop a pastoral implementation manual for Grace Baptist Church, Springfield, Tennessee. The project director utilized the research model described in the current New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Doctor of Ministry Handbook. The project director researched a wide range of sources to gain a foundational understanding of pastoral internship programs across a broad spectrum of denominations. He used the material discovered through the research to develop a manual that will be used at Grace Baptist Church, as well as other churches, to implement a pastoral internship program within the context of the local church. The developed manual will serve as a training tool resource to guide churches in the implementation of a pastoral internship program.
