Abstract
  • This study examines the relations between Caribbean and Black Americans in a church setting. Culturally based differences in styles of worship, leadership, music and outreach are measured through a t-test. Differences in orientation result in the polarization of the groups. The project seeks to reconcile the factions through small group interaction and dialogue. In six chapters the study discusses the church setting; the major problem giving rise to the project; the theology and theory informing the project; the treatment applied to effect reconciliation; the project evaluation process; and a reflection on the assumptions, expectations and conclusions of the project.
