Abstract
  • This project proposes that presbyteries, as the middle governing body of the Presbyterian Church (USA), must completely re-envision their purpose, functions, and organization in order to be faithful to the church's calling in the twenty-first century. Prebyteries play an important symbolic role. The project research discloses a set of energizing core funtions that focus a presbytery's work and organizational principles that make that work useful.
