  • This project is an ethnographic study, which will depict and evaluate three existing cooperative ministries pairing affluent churches with churches in impoverished areas. This project portrays their experience of ministry together. It attempts to discern if these are working models of ministry in which persons from different socio-economic situation work together in mutual relationship of ministry. It sets forth their successes and what they have found to be obstacles in their lives together. This project gathers its information from interviews of the clergy and lay members of these churches and documents including covenants, minutes from meetings, written agreements, proposals, etc. The project concludes that these are working models that vary greatly in detail, but each can be described as mutual.
