Abstract
  • This project provides guidance for development of spiritual guidance groups. In a 12-week experience, group participants practice personal devotions, meditation, and journaling. The project follows participants' spiritual journeys and expresses them in their words, revealing qualities and skills necessary for an initiator, as well as some hurdles and concerns. The project makes no claim that group spiritual guidance is the only way to draw closer to God, but with minimal education for the initiator such groups can be incorporated into churches. Through spiritual guidance, the fruit of the spirit can be recognized and in turn empower the entire church.
