Abstract
  • The purpose of the project was to develop the actual leadership of the Pasfield Southern Baptist Church (Springfield, Ill) under the leadership of a new pastor into a more effective leadership team. Literary research was used to develop biblical and theological bases for recognition and development of existing leadership in the church by the pastor. Social research was the primary consideration of the project, measuring and evaluating leadership response. The project successfully discoverd the actual volunteer leaders, trained them in basic purposes, skills, and styles of church administration and increased awareness of the leadership role by over fifteen percent.
