Abstract
  • The purpose of the project was to develop a curriculum to train an experimental group of twelve lay leaders in management by objectives techniques and to lead them in the application of those techniques to church ministry programs. Cognitive and attitudinal changes were measured by means of a pretest-posttest evalution instrument and compared statistically to a control group of twelve lay leaders from Hebron Baptist Church (Meridian, Mississippi). The experimental group evaluated the ministry programs of Mt Gilead Baptist Church and developed recommendations concerning application of the management by objectives techniques to these programs.
