Abstract
  • This project examines the effects of doctrinal preaching that is based upon the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. The project examines the biblical, theological and historical understanding of both preaching and Baptist Confessions of Faith. Two doctrinal surveys were completed by the congregation. In between the surveys, a series of doctrinal sermons was preached. The results from the two surveys were compared in order to measure the effect of the sermon series upon the congregation's knowledge. The comparison of the surveys indicate that doctrinal preaching based upon a confession of faith does have a measurable effect upon a congregation's knowledge.
