- Abstract
- This project proposes that planting churches based on models imported from other settings does not work in our increasingly diverse culture in North America. This project focuses on five effective church planters and the contextualization of their ministries based on an awareness of the implications of the incarnation of Christ. The conclusions of this project report are based on qualitative research that focused primarily on an interview process. Through the use of Merriam's Constant Comparative Method, primary themes emerged that are reported in a case study format. The research discloses that the effective planters interviewed are cultural analysts; they intentionally contextualized their ministries based on the theology of the incarnation.
