Abstract
  • The purpose of the project was to develop and implement a program to enlist Baptist families to provide foster home care for children institutionalized in the Tennessee Baptist Children's Homes (TBCH). The activity chosen to implement the project training was a two-hour educational program that addressed the needs of institutionalized children, the ministry of the TBCH, and the advantages of foster home care for institutionalized children. The conclusions were that an educational program could be developed; however, a program could not be developed to enlist Baptist families to participate in the educational program or to apply for the Foster Home Care Program of the TBCH.
