  • This project identifies and investigates the self-care support systems used by beginning, mid-career, and veteran pastors, developing a Self-Care Support Systems Inventory and also employing the Spiritual Well-Being Scale. The project finds no significant differences among the three groups of pastors regarding religious and existential well-being and use of self-care support systems, nor are there significant correlations among the pastor groups with respect to spiritual well-being and self-care support systems. In the total population of pastors significant correlations between well-being (spiritual, religious, and existential) and self-care support systems are present.
