Abstract
  • The vast majority of Americans, including members of churches, experience time famine. Time is in short supply, and even those who want to respond to God faithfully in worship and service feel harried. Discipleship activities often get crowded out. This project looks at how culture influences our perception of time. It investigates the impact of embracing ancient disciplines of daily prayer, weekly Sabbath, and seasonal emphases on the experience of time famine.
