Abstract
  • This project is based on the premise that theological integration can be explicitly taught in a unit of clinical pastoral education. An in-service workshop was conducted with nine supervisors in one training center. 'The Message of the Psalms,' by Walter Brueggemann was used as the text, along with selected psalms of praise, lament, and thanksgiving. The Bruggemann grid of orientation was used to frame the teaching of theological integration. New sensitivity to the issue and suggestions of ways to plan this integration into a unit of training are direct results of this project.
