Abstract
  • This project attempts to raise the level of awareness among Christians in the United States about the need for multicultural churches in the immediate future, particularly in urban settings. The case studies used are from the American Baptist Churches of Massachusetts, but the findings apply to the whole Christian community. I understand that the intent of God since creation was for humanity to be diverse and to live together in harmony. Using my experiences as Area Minister, I explore some of the major barriers we need to overcome in order to create multicultural churches. I also propose some possible solutions.
