Abstrakt

This project investigates and analyzes the origins, growth, collaboration, and future prospects of six African American Baptist congregations in southwestern Virginia, through personal interviews, observation, and historical research. These rural churches must now choose the future forms of ministry that will reach their members and the wider community.
