Abstract
  • This study addresses issues related to the consequences of feminist consciousness for women who are studying theology. The methodology is feminist and therefore attempts to break free from traditional understandings of research. The focus of the research is on the women's experience of ministry and supervision and their understanding of spirituality and their vision of ministry with women. The insights from this study include the effect of patriarchal structures on women, the lack of skills of critical analysis to identify patriarchal reality, the minimal support and nurture for feminists' spirituality, and the limited provision of opportunity to discuss theology from a feminist perspective. Implications for field education are suggested.
