Abstract
  • Stress is a possible cause of many diseases which plague the lives of people. While most stress management procedures were developed by medical professionals, the spiritual aspect of healing has not been fully explored or addressed. The church has an opportunity to incorporate spiritual resources in the process of dealing with the stresses of modern life. Exploring, formulating and implementing a biblically based stress management procedure was the heart of this project. Christian meditation combined with stress awareness training in a controlled environment were employed in a workshop to obtain inward stillness, direction and strength to deal with stress-filled circumstances.
