Abstract
  • This project proposes to resolve the common internal conflict in Korean American congregations by training and designating every church member as a lay pastor. Typically Korean American churches are divided btween authoritative older members and other members who refuse to be involved with these leaders. When all members can become lay pastors, then small-group Bible studies can emerge and previously inactive members can become actively involved in church ministries. New authority can arise from mutual sharing and serving.
