Abstract
  • This thesis-project is a case study on a dying church. The author's purpose was to investigate why the church died by performing a complete autopsy on the church body. His examination included a review of pre-existing conditions, examples from Scripture, and research from contemporary authors. The key evidence in the case came from the results of a questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with church members. In the end the author determined that the cause of death was due to complications surrounding stagnant leadership. The outcome concludes with the powerful, life-changing lessons he learned as pastor of the church.
