Abstract
  • Spirituality is life, the feeling, breathing, touching of the soul. A spiritual person is alive, attuned to every aspect of life. In my thesis I tell my story, the story of others and that of a congregation. Telling our stories is important. If I am going to be spiritually effective as a healing pastor I need to share my journey of pain and hope, of struggle and joy. If a group of people is to be effective as a congregation, its members must be comfortable in sharing their stories. Their journeys are the bricks and mortar which unify, and in their unity there lies a great potential for healing.
