Abstract
  • The implementing of spiritual gifts to form Ministry Teams in a theologically diverse Congregational church, with a three hundred and fifty year old history, along with its affiliation with the United Church of Christ, presented two challenges: 1) acceptance of the Trinity and 2) attitude concerning the gender of the Trinity. Using two groups based on religious backgrounds, both were given instructions designed to bring awareness to spiritual gifts and the involvement of the Holy Spirit in particular, in forming Ministry Teams. The conclusion indicates that time and pastoral leadership play a definite part in the success of this project.
