- Abstract
- This project explores the espoused beliefs and values of members of the United Presbyterian Church of Sterling in order to understand and correct a perceived lack of direction and purpose in the congregation as a whole and in an ineffective and inefficient leadership team. The project conducts two surveys and a series of open forum and focus group meetings among church members, and also polls a random sampling of nonmembers in the surrounding community. A clearer understanding of member beliefs and various roles of the leadership team emerges from these studies.
