Abstrakt

The thesis for the workshop report was that ministers equipped and confident would counsel more people and do it more effectively. The methods employed to accomplish this objective were lectures and case studies. The procedures utilized included: enlisting a compatible group, designing an appropriate curriculum, and structuring an atmosphere for interaction. A self-evaluating testing instrument, responded to by the participants in the first and last sessions, measured their growth in confidence as pastoral counselors. A written evaluation by each member of the workshop group, and observations by the field supervisor, confirmed growth in confidence.
