Abstract
  • This project demonstrates how and why contextualizing worship in the North American mainline church is a missional imperative. After building a theoretical foundation for contextual worship, the focus turns toward examining its praxis through case studies. Three Presbyterian (USA) congregations--one of which is my own--are the subjects of the case study, wherein the missional effectiveness of contextual worship is revealed.
