This project consists of a four part adult study, taught on Sunday mornings during Advent. Centering on the Fourth Gospel, the study integrates two theological dimensions of Advent, judgement and redemption. The fundamental theological program is that in the moment of encounter with Christ, by one's choice judgement is exercised upon oneself and the possibility of redemption either claimed or rejected. Lesson plans, background material on the Fourth Gospel, and study guides are included, as well as liturgies and sermons for Advent. The latter were included to illustrate how the pericopes studied were also used as the basis of the Sunday morning worship experiences.
