Abstrakt

The project proposes that churches should assist in the purchase of single-family housing for low- and moderate-income families who would otherwise be trapped in substandard rental housing. The federal 'Section 8' funds now used for rentals should be allocated to purchase homes with the cooperation of churches, and churches should provide assistance and counsel to families to prepare them for the responsibilities of home ownership.
