- Abstract
- The author faced the problem of disinterested and discouraged lay workers. He believed people were asked to serve in ways which were not in keeping with their talents and spiritual gifts. He conducted in-depth interviews with 10 persons to determine their satisfaction in congregational service. The author then developed a Bible study which included their talents as well as the spiritual gifts topic. After the study each person prepared a survey form which was given to the congregational gift counselor. This will be used to place people in the appropriate roles and tasks of the congregation.
