Abstract
  • The Worship Council Project endeavored to enrich the worship understanding and experience of Olivet Baptist Church, with a view toward providing culturally relevant worship services to impact metropolitian and community ministry fields. The methodologies utilized to achieve this goal consisted of council and congregational teaching and training, survey instruments based upon the Likkert format and control group input. The project revealed that worship council members rated novel worship techniques employed during the project with higher marks than their control group counterparts. Therefore, the aim of blending traditional and contemporary worship expressions of Olivet Baptist Church was significantly heightened.
