Abstracto

This project seeks to show that the primary element in an effective church is its educational ministry. It developed out of the pastor's and the church's reflection of their theological understanding of the church and its mission. Informed by that understanding, a preliminary investigation of the status of the First Baptist Church School was undertaken. The staff and pastor moved to develop a healthier church school. Out of an intentional and interactive agenda came goals that were acted out in the church school's ministry. Included are suggestions for effectively developing and administering a church school in the context of a black Baptist church.
