Abstract
  • This project introduces a model of ministry in which a new member assimilation strategy was designed and implemented at Beulahland Bible Church of Macon, Georgia for seven months. The strategy utilized a qualitive research method and included revisions to the new member class and the recruiting and training of shepherd's partners, who helped new members through the initial phase of assimilation in the following areas: completion of the new member class, development of relationships, engagement in ministry opportunities, and receiving information that fosters their spiritual growth. The results served to motivate the new members to move from membership to discipleship.
