- The project follows the development of a long-range plan for the First Baptist Church of Salida. The church is located in a rapidly changing community and must have a plan in order to reach and minister to that community. The church, led by the pastor, elected a long-range planning committee, and through surveys and census information the committee identified the church's strengths and weakness and established a target group. The committee then used this information and developed a plan that addressed some of the identified needs of the target group. The church has adopted the plan and begun to implement it.
