Abstract
  • This project proposes that God has created humanity to be in special relationship that we often call the 'family of God'. The local church congregation is a smaller section of the larger family of all believers. Is the congregation a healthy family of God or a dysfunctional family of God? Small-group ministries can assist in creating a healthy, spiritual congregation. This project provides a theological framework for the family of God and small groups, explores the Christian tradition of small groups, and the cultural relevance of small groups in churches today.
