Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to deepen the awareness of the major theological images of the Lord's Supper among members of the Follansbee United Methodist Church, with special reference to the 1964 Ritual for the Sacrament and the Alternate Ritual first published in 1972. This goal was pursued through a series of seven sermons on the key theological images, followed by weekly celebration of the Lord's Supper, coupled with seven adult classes and four sessions with children. A series of interviews and questionnaires were used for data gathering and evaluation.
