Abstract
  • Planting a church in the Wyoming, Michigan was to lead to a multiplication of churches in that city. A Biblical and sociological foundation for planting churches was established, followed by an examination of supportive existing literature. Recent demographics, supplemented with interviews of ministry and civic leaders, provided sociological support. The resulting strategy for planting churches in Wyoming included methods to provide spiritual empowerment, community evaluation, leader evaluation, leader equipping, leader empowerment, and parent partnerships. Despite all these well honed strategies, the author ultimately realized that God is still the primary actor in planting churches.
