Abstract
  • The purpose of this project was to equip members of Longview Point Baptist Church in Hernando, Mississippi to be more effective in personal evangelism by teaching them how to defend their faith as they shared their faith. The thesis of the project was that members at Longview Point were trained to share their faith using a canned presentation but were not confident in answering objections. They needed a foundation in apologetics to engage people in prolonged spiritual conversations. The author concluded after the project that apologetic training happens best in small-group laboratories and not merely in a large-group classroom setting.
