Abstract
  • This research project focuses on Christians who increase their understanding of empowerment by using their gifts in service to the community. Two assumptions underlie this research: 1) a Christian's personal giftedness is at the core of empowerment for ministry; and 2) empowerment is a multi-faceted reality. The project includes interviews of participants who recount significant events and moments that shaped their involvement in ministry. Results of this research project include a theological statement about empowerment for ministry and a hypothesis focusing on education for ministry.
