Abstract
  • The purpose of the practicum was to determine how to structurally organize the Mar Thoma Syrian Church in Dallas to relate to the Protestant Episcopal Church in Dallas using the ecumenical guides and principles of the Mar Thoma Church. It studies how the transition of culture affects the foundational images of the church and defines mission objectives for the congregation, such as reaching out to Hindu friends in Dallas. The purpose has been fulfilled. The cohesion with the Episcopal Church creates a new identity for the church as a called out community. The members have new mission objectives and have established methods for reaching out to Hindu friends in Dallas. This project reports on the whole process.
