- Abstract
- The purpose of this study was to determine whether improving the health of a church leads to its growth. Christian Schwarz's Natural Church Development questionnaire was used to measure the health of the church and data was gathered to measure its growth. A relationship between church health and growth was established. Other findings include: (1) the survey does not reveal all factors affecting church health; (2) there is a difference between stated and actual values; and (3) overarching problems in a church will hinder efforts to improve church health.
