- Abstract
- This project identifies and examines 10 critical leadership behaviors and/or styles valued by pastors in the Second Episcopal District of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, in order to isolate factors perceived to be important for effective church leadership, to provide data to be used by bishops and presiding elders to improve the process of appointing pastors, and to provide pastors with information about leadership styles and behaviors for effective ministry. Using this information, pastors can improve their own effectiveness, and bishops and presiding elders can improve the pastoral appointment process.
