Abstract

The purpose of this project was to equip selected ministry leaders of Lakeside Baptist Church, Granbury, Texas, in vision-based strategy development skills. The project director researched the fields of visioning and strategy development to develop a workshop curriculum used to equip staff and lay leaders. Throughout four workshop settings, the director sought to instill a culture of strategic planning in the selected leaders as they plan and program the various ministries of the church. One primary objective behind the project was to equip ministry leaders with essential skills to develop specific visions and strategies for their ministries that would complement and accomplish the overall vision of the church. By employing and equipping model, the project equipped learners with new tools, experiences, and motivation to integrate strategic planning into their respective ministry areas.
